Privacy policy

This policy describes which personal data this website processes and for what purpose. It is based on the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP / revDSG).

Principle

This website operates without tracking, without advertising networks and without analytics services. One exception, stated plainly: the optional project advisor below sends what you type to a provider outside Switzerland. No profiles are built about visitors and no data is passed on for advertising purposes.

Server log files

When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically records technical data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer and browser identification. This data is necessary for operation and security, is not combined with other sources, and is deleted after a short period.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the details you enter — name, email address, optionally your organisation, and your message — are transmitted to me by email so that I can respond to your enquiry.

• Legal basis: your consent through submitting the form, together with the pre-contractual interest in initiating a working relationship
• Retention: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions; deleted thereafter
• Disclosure: no disclosure to third parties beyond the processors named below

You are always free to email me directly instead of using the form.

Project advisor (AI chat)

The "Check your project" page offers a chat in which you can describe what you have in mind. What you enter there is sent to DeepSeek to be answered — a provider based in the People's Republic of China. Your input therefore leaves Switzerland and the EEA, and is not subject to the revised Swiss Data Protection Act or the GDPR there.Only the conversation you type yourself is transmitted, together with publicly visible information from this website. No accounts are created, no conversations are stored on this website, and no transcript reaches me unless you submit the contact form yourself.Use is voluntary. Please do not enter confidential information, personal data of third parties or trade secrets there. For confidential matters, please use the contact form or email me directly.

Spam protection with Cloudflare Turnstile

To protect the contact form against automated submissions I use Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). Turnstile checks whether the input comes from a human by evaluating technical characteristics of your browser. Unlike classic CAPTCHA services, Turnstile does not track you across websites and does not use the collected data for advertising. Further information is available in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Email delivery

Form messages are delivered to my inbox via an email service provider. That provider processes the message content solely on my instructions and for the purpose of delivery.

Cookies

This website sets a single technical cookie: it stores your chosen language (German or English) so you are not redirected again on a return visit. This cookie contains no personal data and is not used for analytics. Your light or dark appearance preference is additionally stored locally in your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the personal data processed about you, and to its correction, deletion or release. A short message to the email address above is sufficient.If you believe the processing of your data breaches data protection law, you may contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

This privacy policy will be updated whenever data processing on this website changes. The version published here is the applicable one.
